Ernest Trova (1927–2009) lived his entire life in St. Louis. In 1975 he helped bring Laumeier Sculpture Park to life by gifting 40 of his sculptures to park’s opening — many of these works are still displayed throughout the park and the region, keeping Trova's legacy alive both at Laumeier and in the St. Louis community
